13 He delivered us from the authority of the darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, 14 by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist, 18 and he is the head of the body, the congregation. 小結: 比較中英文版本--
(1) 英文版用了 all [other] things 有5次, 漢語版用了 其餘的萬物 有4次. 以紫色標示的英文短句, 漢語版並沒有譯成 其餘的萬物.
(2) 英文版的 all [other] things 當中的 other 是印在[ ] 括號內的, 漢語版 "其餘的萬物", 並沒有用 [ ]. 其實只是一個標點符號, 有甚麼關係, 版主又是鑽牛角尖了吧? 又作無謂的挑剔?
參閱 New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (with References, Revised 1984) 第7頁, 右欄 有Brackets 一段:
BRACKETS: Single brackets [ ] enclose words inserted to complete the sense in the English text. Double brackets [[ ]] suggest interpolations (insertion of foreign material) in the original text. [引用完]
原來[ ] 這種括號在英文版, 是告訴讀者原文所沒有的字, [ ] 加入的字, 目的是要更清楚表達現代英文的. 可是, 漢語版的譯文, 由於是轉譯英文, 而不是直譯希臘原文, 不需加入[ ], 仍是清楚表達英文版的意思, 卻把原文的信息, 沒有 [其他] 這個意思--順理成章加入漢語版本.這是新世界譯本漢語版的讀者, 認真讀聖經的人, 需要比對英文版本的地方, 或者參閱希臘原文版本的聖經. 守望台社也有出版希臘文--英文對照譯本. 名叫 The Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures. (王國行間對照譯本), 輔助不懂希臘原文的讀者, 明白希臘文經文的一些意思.
